This mid-60s blackface Fender Bassman piggyback packs the AB165 circuit making it 50 watts of authoritative, neutral clean tone with exceptional headroom and the kind of full-bodied response that makes everything plugged into it sound better. Cosmetics: Both head and cabinet show honest wear consistent with a working amp that has lived a life. The tolex on both pieces has peeling and wear at the corners with some wood showing through at stress points. The grillcloth on the cabinet has surface punctures but is structurally intact — damage does not extend to the speakers. The faceplate on the head is clean and all controls are present and functional. Priced accordingly at $2300. Electronics: In October 2025 the amp received a full professional rebuild at C4 Sound Works, Edmonton (invoice included): electrolytic capacitors replaced, AC power cord replaced and rewired, bias pot/control replaced, screen grid resistors replaced, all jacks, controls, contacts and switches electronically cleaned. Bench tested — all functions confirmed good. Service documentation included with the sale of the head. Asking $2400 CAD for the head and $400 for the cab.
