Up for sale is the 1970s Garnet Deputy 1 combo, made in Winnipeg Canada of course Price is absolutely firm. If you want a cheaper price I can sell it unloaded for 500$ firm. Just the tube head? 450$ firm. Speaker solo? 300$ This thing SPANKS! It's a serious contender for that Fender Pro / Marshall Plexi tones at a fraction of the price all in one package This amp has been extensively overhauled; Replaced microphonic pre-amp tube with period matching Russian made Sovtek Replaced speaker wire to upgraded gauge and Switchcraft 1/4" plug Replaced speaker with a vintage Rare period correct 15" EV Electro-Voice SRO 15L Coffee Can Vintage Speaker. 8 Ohm (these guys run upwards of 400$ cause they are an epic vintage guitar tone) Cleaned all the pots and they work and sweep perfectly now Previous owner replaced one of the caps with a JJ cap Previous owner made three prong and it's super long Now, with all the tweaks and mods, this combo sings! Ear piercing loud with the point to point Plexi style and you can get a great distortion breakup All plug ins work - and the epic 1+2 channel jumper is incredible, you get those bluesy marshall tones in there and the blend of the volumes is one of a kind Original Mallory caps x 4 All the tubes are Russian 2000s era matching EH power tubes, two EH 12AX7s and the Sovtek 12AX7 for V1 Missing the grill cover and the back tube protector panel as well the tolex is not mint, as expected with a 1970s amp This amp RIPS! its dialed down with very little feedback, and all high quality components and upgrades The coffee can speaker did not fit inside the original 15" slot, so instead of routering out I opted for some foam, regardless it's solid now The only issue is the Speaker upgrade made this combo pretty heavy. I would recommend it for a studio recording or jam room amp. That being said you can get easy bedroom volumes in the zero to one volume spectrum... Tones for days. Impeccable combo.
