Chomedey is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the feel of this part of the city. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of the city, its busier streets can still be quite lively, and with its around 20 nightlife venues, there are options for nighttime activities. Boulevard Cartier in particular offers a vast selection of nightlife. Chomedey is very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue, although that is not the case near Autoroute Laval Ouest, Autoroute des Laurentides, one of the railway lines or the airport (Héliport de Montréal (Sacré-Coeur)). This area also features not that much greenery; to be more specific, residents will find that there are relatively few tree-lined streets. However, numerous locations within the neighbourhood have good access to parks, like Parc Chopin and Parc Saint-Martin, since there are over 100 of them nearby for residents to check out.
