    Description

Low income on gov’t disability ISO studio, one, or two bedroom suite or apartment! My partner and I are facing a possible eviction due to our home being listed for sale. Our current suite is in sahali. It’s a beautiful 1 bedroom basement suite with a private yard, however the owner listed it to sell and we’ve had issues with the upstairs tenants. (late night LOUD parties, disruptive and rude etc etc) We’d like to find something with a move-in date that leaves our landlord with plenty of time to find new tenants after us as he is a kind man and we feel bad for him being forced to sell. So searching for May or June move-in dates. I am currently on disability, hoping to be working again by the fall. My partner was just laid off, so she will be on EI until the fall as well. She doesn’t drive so we figured we should try to find a new home before she starts job hunting in case this place sells and we get evicted. We have two lovely, well behaved cats. We both enjoy gardening and I love yard work. My partner enjoys gaming and is an amazing artist. I am a musician and enjoy playing and recording music. (I use headphones or a small Bluetooth speaker so it doesn’t carry and isn’t disruptive) I also enjoy cooking and grilling. We are hoping to find a home that won’t sell anytime soon as this is the second time my home has been listed and it is incredibly distressing. Hopefully somewhere with easy access for our outside kitty who is a formidable hunter and stalker of the night. Our current rent is $1500. We are hoping to find something more affordable but we can manage a bit more for the right spot. We are friendly, good natured people. We never throw parties or loud get togethers, we drink occasionally and I *do* smoke ( yikes, I know) but only ever outside in agreed upon areas. I have a background in construction and landscaping, so I am somewhat handy as far as house maintenance and repairs go. Because I am on disability our rent is guaranteed and will almost always be early. If you think we could be a good fit please let me know and we can set up a time to view or meet you. We are hoping to find somewhere close to downtown or the heart of North Shore so that we can both find jobs within walking distance. (I am unable to return to physical labour due to the nature of my condition so I need to switch gears)
