No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, Vieux-Limoilou is a fairly good option. Vieux-Limoilou is reasonably quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic, although that is not the case close to the railway line, Autoroute Laurentienne, Autoroute Dufferin-Montmorency or the airport (Québec / Héliport de l'hopital de l'Enfant-Jesus). However, most locations in the neighbourhood have good access to green spaces, including Parc Cartier-Brébeuf and Parc de la Pointe-aux-Lièvres, since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to check out. Lastly, although the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of Québec, its busier streets can still be quite energetic, and with its about 10 bars, there are options for nighttime activities.
