Very nice framed print of 'Girl with Broom' by Rembrandt Van Rijn (1606-1669). Print is nicely matted and framed behind glass. Frame is 27 1/2" x 25" and picture is 16 1/2" x 19 1/2". I love this print but have no where to hang it at our new place. There is an interesting story about this print as well....A print identical to this was seen on display on TV's Bewitched in the house entrance for 7 years of the show!.... The original oil on canvas was painted in 1651 and now hangs in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Rembrandt is considered to be the greatest Dutch painter, etcher, and draftsman due not only to his precise technical ability, but to his deep understanding of and sympathy for the complexity of human feelings and emotions. Through light and its resulting shadows, he focused on an intimate aspect of the person portrayed. Besides portraying a physical likeness, he paints the emotions and illuninates the soul!
