18-20 AD Petra, Nabataean Kingdom (Nabatea), King Aretas IV. Hammered bronze prutah coin. Mesh Nab# 97, my #090941 in box 7. From modern day Petra, Jordan.

Obverse: Aretas standing front in military dress, looking left, holding spear in right hand, left hand on pommel of sword in scabbard; on left, palm. In upper right field, Aramaic monogram. Reverse: Shaqilath standing left, veiled, wearing long chiton, right hand raised; on left, wreath. In right field, Aramaic lettering over three lines:: שק יל ת Translation: Shaqilath
