Description

No factory marks. Identified by the handle from the book Pottery and Porcelain Tablewares by John P Cushion, page 152, Coalport 1845 and Replacement of Coalport, COA 35 on page 13. The Potteries website dates the cup and saucer being made out of a type of hard paste porcelain pre-1820, as the translucence is darker than the whiter and brighter bone china of the other saucer . The gold is hand painted. The bone china saucer is slightly larger. $200 or best offer.
