This is a beautiful rare antique Wedgwood Dark Blue 8 1/2" plate from the early 1900's. The antique plate is square with lovely soft scalloped corners in a lovely deep blue glaze. There is a gorgeous hand coloured "Fox Hunting Scene" in the centre of the plate showing huntsmen, horses and dogs preparing for the fox hunt as they leave the Manor. The hand coloured "Fox Hunting Scene" is done in very fine detail and gorgeous vibrant colours. The plate is in excellent condition. There is some crazing present which is typical for a plate of its age. This lovely rare Wedgwood plate would be a perfect addition to a plate collection to be displayed and admired.
