J. Silvana was born December 12, 1930 in Tegernsee, Germany.
After attending the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, he had great success at important exhibitions in Italy, as well as in Germany in Dusseldorf, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Munich and Darmstadt.
In all these cities he was favorably reviewed by the local art critics and public interest in his exhibitions followed accordingly.
His travels to Spain, France, Yugoslavia, Italy, Austria, Holland, Greece and California acquainted him with subjects and landscapes from all these different countries.
