Chuvalo was Canadian heavyweight Champion from 1958 to 1961 and in 1968. George was a scrapper who would stay in close and battle with the best of them. Had a high KO record of over 65 %. Went the distance with Muhammad Ali twice, going 12 and 15 rounds. Ali said Mr. Chuvalo was one of the toughest boxers he had ever fought. Also fought notables Floyd Patterson and Ernie Terrell.
