"French Ivory" was first created in the mid 1800's out of pale yellow celluloid with graining, to simulate animal ivory. This baby set from the 1920's has hand painted roses and leaves on one side. It can be used for a young child or as an accessory for a doll or teddy bear or display on a tabletop. The brush measures 5 inches or 12.7 cm. and is in good, used condition. The comb is 4.5 inches or 11.4 cm. long and is in excellent, not noticeably used condition. There is no damage to either piece and they are from a smoke and pet free home.
