A pair of Vintage/Antique African Large 26" tall hand carved wood (Macassar Ebony) from Africa
I`m no expert but according to my research with the in-laws these originally came from the Massa Tribe of Kenya
The in-laws brought these incredible hand carved warriors back from Africa in the 80`s they have been in a glass curio until last week when I inherited them.

Each statue stand 26" tall X 12" wide X 7" deep, overall excellent condition, no breaks or missing pieces
Sadly the pictures don't do these beauties much justice.
They are both holding a hand carved spear with an arrow head
Both are dress in their tribal wear, head band, foot bands, shirts, arm and shoulder bands, female breasts are banded as well, in excellent condition!

Ebony wood is very common in West African countries and is excellent for carvings/sculptures because of its density, coloration (black, dark brown, mixed black/cream or brown/cream) and brilliant natural sheen.
