A beautiful flower still life oil painting on canvass board by Canadian artist Oskar Gramann . Painting is 24"x 18" and was painted in late 70's to early 80's . With the frame it is 29" x 23" . Oskar Gramann was a Canadian artist born in 1909 - ? . He started his early career as an architect but a stroke forced retirement upon him and he gravitated to his first love which was painting . He specialized in painting flowers . Most of his art work was done in watercolors with a few very rare oil painting such as this beautiful work . In this painting one can observe the masterly way the artist uses oil paints . The ease and fluidity of his brush strokes is remarkable as is his attention to creating a harmoniously balanced composition . He has had more that 150 solo exhibitions , 500 students and thousands of fans all over the world have bought and cherished his paintings .
