Victorian Transferware Pitcher. This water/juice pitcher has a charming black transfer design of buds and flowers on a cream ground. It was produced by Powell, Bishop and Stonier of Staffordshire, England, in 1884. Given the age of the piece, it is in very good condition, with no chips or crazing. However, there is a small hairline crack on the base -- see photo.
