Selling this Beautiful Circa 1910's Western Canadian Origin Red Painted Softwood Hanging Cupboard with tons of character.
I picked it up at an Estate Sale.
It features a lovely scrolled top board with a hand carved yellow heart nested in the V of the center placement panel.
The Yellow heart accents the lovely reddish brown look of the rest of the cupboard. The top and rear of the cupboard is in an robin egg blue. It would not have been able to be seen once hung in the pioneer farmhouse kitchen.
There are two doors each with a single raised panel and one with a brass keyhole. The doors are corner tongue and groove.
Inside the cupboard there is a single shelf midway and the inside has a classic whitewash look typical of the day in the early 1900's.
Under the two doors is a pullout Drawer that includes a internal partition off to the left. Also whitewashed inside.
It retains much of the original hardware and flat slot screws plus nail construction.
It measures 32.75" tall x 25.5" wide x 11 7/8" deep.
Not including the front facade it is 31" tall for the actual cabinet itself.
A lovely piece to add to your farmhouse, Pioneer , Rustic home decor with Canadian History.
It has been valued at around $600 - $800.00. I am selling for considerably less.
