Naturecraft “Bunkered” Handpainted StonewaRef. No. 864 circa 1976 Made in Congelton, England. $65 OBO
This detailed handpainted figurine from Naturecraft depicts a golfer trying to get his ball out of bunker- a frustration every golfer knows well.
In excellent condition, this figurine was made in England in 1976. Naturecraft's signature Crown logo, the title, “Bunkered”, a reference number and city and country of production are stamped on the back.
Naturecraft was founded in 1931 in Congleton, Chesire, UK and produced stoneware figurines, such as “Bunkered” as well as animal figurines, caricatures and wall art.
In 2005, Naturecraft was purchased by giftware importer Widdop Bingham & Co Ltd. of Chadderton, Oldham, Lancashire, UK. Widdop kept producing animal figurines but discontinued many of Naturecraft’s timeless and cherised characters. Production was moved to China and the range of products grew to include mugs, clock and other items.
Naturecraft’s “Bunkered” figurine is a perfect collectable or gift for a golfer.
