Jody was a line of dolls and accessories produced by Ideal in 1974 and 1975. The dolls were 9" tall and featured hair that fell below their waists.
The concept behind the Jody line was to evoke a sense of the revered past. Jody was dressed in old-fashioned, turn-of-the-century clothing and her accessories reflected this. They represented what was considered a Golden Age of the Past.
This Jody doll is circa 1975 and is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and part of a 40+ year collection.
Her lovely long auburn hair which is almost floor length is soft and silky. She is wearing her ORIGINAL CLOTHING which is reminiscent of Little House on the Prairie. Under her dress she is wearing bloomers with pink ribbons and black heeled ankle boots.
Accessories and playsets, were available for Jody and included such examples as Jody's Horse And Farm, and Jody & Her Country Kitchen.
