Released by Dinky Toys between 1975 and 1979, this exceptionally rare, well-detailed and superb new eagle Transporter no. 359 die-cast metal model, from Gerry Anderson TV series Space 1999 (Cosmos 1999), measures 22,2 cm long and weigh 250 g. All appears as new. Comes with its original box which is in good condition for his age with just a small tear on the window plastic (picture # 1) or with repro box (picture # 8) . The eagle Transporter was fairly faithful to the version seen on the show, with the exception of the colouring which consisted of a green main body and a white transporter pod.
The Eagle has red side boosters and comes with silver metal engine bottles and red plastic thruster bells. The green parts (nose cone and the four fuel pods with spring suspension) are whole die-cast metal like the ''axis'' (below the spine moulded white plastic dorsal ''ladder'') and the detachable white pod are die-cast too. Model has red original decals to mark the pod as a rescue one. Photos always provide the best description I think, so please take a look.
Condition : A brand-new, unused, undamaged, unique and rare item. The model itself is original and in superb condition with no scratches or other play wear to the paintwork and has not been restored or otherwise tampered with in any way. The suspension is excellent, the metal parts are free of any signs of corrosion and the whole thing looks as if it was made yesterday.
