The front side features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The engravers responsible for this side are Arnold Machin and Myron Cook. The reverse side depicts a voyageur and a native paddling a canoe. The engravers for this side are Emanuel Hahn and Thomas Shingles. This coin was issued by the Royal Canadian Mint for circulation in 1969.
