This RCD hand painted 19th century serving dish is in excellent condition overall. A beautiful square shape and hand painted scene of the English country side. Open landscape in the foreground. Simply beautiful and takes you away to a quiet, remote place. The plate measures 8” X 8”. Dating to approx. 1810-1850. These plates are very rare and hard to find. There is some light wearing on the hand painted trim but overall in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or damage. Just 150+ of modest use. These original Derby plates have real gold leaf trim and there is still a lot intact. The scenic center is still bold and beautifully executed. Masterfully painted and a rare plate to find.
