This beautiful necklace was created by Jerry Fejeran, aka "Spotted Buffalo" from Taos, New Mexico. He is known for his unusual silver jewelry. The necklace was bought at the historical Route 66 Santo Domingo Indian Trading Post in Albuquerque, New Mexico shortly before it closed in the 1990s (it was restored in 2014). Among the signs that once decorated the facade was one that declared: “This is it! the Oldest Indian Trading Post in the West since 1881.” It is native American owned and operated. Beautiful polished Cerillos turquoise stones of slightly varying colour and shape alternate with silver beads but end with silver pieces toward the silver clasp. It is 25” (63.5 cm) long. It has never been worn and is still in the original box with Spotted Buffalo’s contact information in Taos. A truly unique piece of jewelry.
