Salvini, an Italian painter active throughout the early 1900s, painted this large classical oil on canvas still life floral painting in the early part of the century, when the Victorian influence still played a part in things artistic and decorative. The painting features a bouquet of white, pink and blue hollyhocks in a vase, all in correct, very pleasing proportions.
The painting features a large ornate frame, which styles the painting beautifully.
