A nice example of an early Lanark regular sized spinning wheel, likely pine.
This lot is but a small part of a long range fundraising drive for our animal sanctuary located in Smiths Falls, we are offering a huge collection of a variety of categories including vintage and some modern fountain pens. There are five hundred pens of every conceivable make, quite a few in the rarer category such as a Heath overlay snake dip pen fully signed and a large 1920s Montblanc with a sterling silver spider's web design on it, signed. We realise it is close to Christmas time and are now offering personal interviews between one and three pm for serious buyers. We insist on appointments only (every day between the hours of 1 and 3 pm only) as we have an elaborate security system, here for the protection of the animals. Do not show up without an appointment. Other major collections we are selling include a staggering number of Japanese antique objects of all kinds, especially lacquerware, modern Japanese paintings and panels by leading artists. We also have an assortment of antique and modern unusual furniture such as a miniature desk and curio cabinet set, and endless assortment of other examples. We have a vast library of harder to find books including a first rate miniature book collection. For the well heeled we are selling off a major collection of national heritage importance. If you visit our website (ottercreekanimalsanctuaryandshelter.com) you can read about a million dollar Dr. James Naismith heritage collection. We simply cannot photograph and list the tremendous amount of items we have so from time to time we list the odd thing. We welcome your visit and guarantee you will be tempted by something. This fundraiser has been in the making for years. The inventory is now being sold off.
Feel free to drop by with an appointment.
