Price reduced. Here is an unused, original British Bren gun barrel carrier. It is complete with carrying sling and made of the same heavy web material that characterized most British and Canadian equipment. While made for the spare barrel, it also has additional pouches for replacement parts and tools to handle a hot barrel. It is fully marked with a remarkably early date of 1935, and is unissued being in excellent condition. It is a mandatory item for the Bren Gun re-enactment section. If you are looking at this post at all you will already know that the Bren was a gas-operated, air cooled, open bolt, selectively fired machine gun. It had a quick-detachable barrel which under intense fire (about 4 magazines / 120rounds per minute) had to be replaced every 300 rounds or so.
