Description
Antique Brown Bottle Canadian Germicide Company Limited Toronto (price adjusted to $25, was $30)
- probably held disinfectant or liquid soap
- bottle is brown glass as many germicide bottles were clear
- bottle was probably placed upside down in a holder
- Not sure of the age, but the company was listed in the Directory of the chemical industries in Canada as of January 1,1919 and once located at 1 Howard Park Ave., Toronto, Ontario. Products listed were disinfectants and liquid soaps. There was another Canadian Germicide Company Limited amber bottle found marked “pat. June 25, 1888”
- in very good condition accept for a straw mark or may be a small hairline, barely noticeable running from right to left under the word COMPANY (hard to photo, but see digital)
- 8 inches high
- looking down at the bottom it’s a Trapazoid shape, 3 ½ inches at back X 3 inches at front X 3 ¼ inches deep
- bottom is marked with what looks like a D within a diamond
- front is embossed as follows:
