Wine Rack - Antique African Wood Wine Rack

Superb Vintage South African wine rack carved from Exotic wood in excellent condition. The native characters on each end depicted in hemp skirts and hair holding the sides of the rack holding roughly 30 -35 bottles. This is a very unique 30-35 bottle wine rack made of carved mahogany wood and/or hemp featuring 2 African natives holding on to the sides. Weighs approx. 38 pounds (is quite heavy) and is roughly 4 feet high by 43” wide by about 7 ½” deep. A rare find from around these parts. There is some separation of the wood around the head but all in all this has been a unique conversation piece for me and for any of you wine connoisseurs who have a unique wine room, etc. I have seen it sold at an online auction house for $1700 US plus $300 shipping.
