The Huron County heartland is where D. McLeod, specifically, Clinton, Ontario, called home.

Close to Lake Huron, and with an area known for beautiful scenery it's no surprise that there are many fine artists, and by no coincidence, Art Galleries, throughout the area.

Goderich, Bayfield and Grand Bend have several galleries that carry works from artists old and new and carry a lot of relics from days gone by.

Now relics like this Wind Tower, renamed 'Old Timer' by our McLeod were wonderful inventions from the old days, used as pumps for field irrigation that made life in the early days easier to handle.

All along country roads, you'll find old barns, old houses and forgotten landmarks like this wind tower, peering out of places where families once were raised, crops were planted, harvested, and over time quietly disappeared.

These paintings connect us to the past.

The vintage frame and painting are in good condition, ready to hang.
