Keith Elvin a British artist from Bristol, well known in the 1970's and 80's, always having flowers as a major theme in all of his paintings.
He set shop in his gallery in Westbury-On-Trym in Bristol and then travelled into the country gardens and nearby cities of Britain, painting rooms and houses, estates and even beaches, with flowers figuring into each and every painting.
In this example there is a wonderful row of snowdrops running along a jasmine hedge right up to the estate itself. The grounds are manicured with a couple of old trees standing on the grounds. This deliberate choice of white flowering snowdrops, planted and surrounding the estate with a marvelous color makes for quite an impact.
