Coleen Szura, a self taught wildlife and landscape artist who is living in the Kingsville area of south western Ontario on the northern shores of Lake Erie not far from the Point Pelee National Park.
Her favorite medium is acrylics and she has devoted her life to painting wildlife and remote landscapes for many years now.
She has donated her works to Ducks Unlimited fund raisers as well as to the Delta Waterfowl organization and teaches art at a local seniors center. She has created and curated the 'Migratory Birds of Flight Fine Arts' organization.
Her works are all about preserving our natural heritage and she has a profound love for wildlife in our mountains and forests.
This award winning painting has a solitary duck lifting off from the marshes of Ontario and is showing off the beauty and grace of this awkward bird as it sets it's sights for a long journey.
