Jennifer Marie Berringer was born in Point Pleasant, NJ, in 1950. She is a listed American artist with works in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. She was educated in the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA (1978-79) and several other art schools in America and abroad.
She's had many solo exhibitions from the Boston Museum of Fine Arts to Rosenfeld Gallery, Philadelphia, PA and dozens of others spanning over the 80's and 90's. And her works are owned by major corporations,Hotels and Museums, across America and many private collections.
What she brings with all her credentials is a wonderful simplicity of form and design. Her works remind me of Walter J. Phillips of Canada who was active from the 1920's to the 60's. His works are extremely valuable and unforgettable and his designs are just as compelling as are the works of Jennifer Berringer.
She is known for her abstractions and collages. This lovely piece brings a realistic element to the work.
Teal colored vintage frame is slightly dinged upper left but it's not a distraction. A limited edition, 33/200, hand signed, titled and numbered by the artist. Ready to hang.
