Well drawn watercolor by Carrie Walker, presumably around Kitchener, Ontario in 1935 of a large house with a village further down the road. A sturdy stone bridge connects the country to the village over a river or a rather large creek.
Kitchener in the 1930's was already a city and so this rural scene could have been painted along the river Nith that meanders through southwestern Ontario.
This painting, being dedicated to her sister Sylvia en verso indicates it's a personal and loving memory that she's preserved.
Easily can see people fishing off the bridge or along the banks of this gorgeous river or just looking at the view on a country walk.
Beautiful vintage frame under glass ready to hang.
