A warmly colored, panoramic autumn landscape with many layers to observe. This is a natural, park like setting with beautiful colors and a wide expanse of ground you can walk on.

It's a large painting, for a mantle or above a sofa and the colors are delightful. They're varied with different textures, with a golden light that's just pouring into the meadow as the path turns towards the trees.

And it's got an air of reality with the colors and the observations of how the hillside is structured.

Also a reminder on how much a natural setting can offer someone...a forest tangled with undergrowth, a long wide open path for hiking and a cool body of water, submerged logs and everything waiting for tossing stones, fishing or setting off on a boat.

A lovely realism, the kind that was taught by Matthew Kousal and whose influence is finding it's way through another generation of painters.

The vintage frame and painting are in good condition, ready to hang.
