A Victorian map (with decorative borders) first issued in 1821 in Miller's New Miniature Atlas. The plates were later acquired by a William Darton who re-issued them as a miniature atlas, but also used the maps, embellished by three capital city scenes in this children's work.
The three capitals of London, Edinburgh and Dublin have a pictorial presence around the map. Also in the upper right are the Shetland Islands. A lovely remembrance from the British Empire.
Also a Victorian Map of New Brunswick with First Nations' graphics. Superb pictures of an Early Canada.
Printed on firm paper or a light bristol board the map is easily framed. Graphics are charming.
