John Herreilers (1924 - 2001) Canadian artist born in Alberta, he studied in Carmel, California but is largely self-taught. Working mainly in watercolour but also acrylic, he is a realist leaning toward abstraction.
His subjects include old farm buildings, the Prairie landscape of Alberta and Saskatchewan, the mountains of the West Coast of British Columbia including the Queen Charlotte Islands, and scenes of Vancouver.
He is well represented by International Auction houses, his works selling for as much as $3800.00
