Lee Dubin, a still active and remarkable storytelling artist in paints. Her first works came out in the 1970's and looked nothing compared to where her talents would take her. Those early works were really good but were still conventional farm scenes with adorable children holding kittens, etc.
Her later works are sold all over the world. Her works are found in Russia, Spain, South America as well as Europe and North America. I think it's an ability, like that of Norman Rockwell, that captures a specific time in our history, specifically New York at the turn of the Century, that brings people to her works. The Victorian world she has reserved for most of her outdoor scenes and captures that New York energy in her interior scenes. You revisit the paintings over and again because of the character development in each picture.
This is an adorable Lee Dubin Print of Downtown activities. Love the fashion, children, monkey, old store signs. Solid wood Vintage frame, mahogany color. Scuffed as befitting its age. Print in good condition. Ready to hang.
