Teak Carved Inlaid Jewelry Box - Hand Carved & Hand Painted

Here is a beautifully hand crafted teak JEWELRY. TRINKET or RUNES hinged box made in India. Box is 6" X 4" X 2 1/2" high and has an interior dimension of 5 1/12" X 3" X 1 1/2 deep.Box has intricate carvings on all four sides with beautiful hand rubbed wood grain finish and lid has a 3 1/2" oval on top with brass inlay with 2 brass hinges. Both interior bottom and lid are plush blue velvet lined. Perfect for storing your delicate valuables and keepsakes. Box has been in storage for over 20 years and was initially used as the inspiration for my carving techniques. This is also called a "Vatican" box, because these boxes are used to hold religious artifacts, spiritual trinkets, and sometimes the wafers used during Catholic Mass and Offerings.
