We are now accepting new applicants to join our car club, The Galt Road Rajahs Car Club, in Waterloo region since 1955. We are a not for profit organization, located in Branchton, Ontario (5 minutes South of Cambridge) and have a club house and 7 bay garage with 2 hoists for working on our project vehicles. Full membership gives 24 hours, seven days a week access to our 2 short term project hoist bays, 6 long term project bays and use of all shared tools.
The Shop is not for storage, only for actively working on vehicles!
Some of the club tools:-Shop compressor-Impact gun and sockets.-Ac/Dc Miller stick welder.-Miller MIG welder.-Brake lathe.-Sand blasters (cabinet and portable).-Engine jack.-20 ton press.As well as many hand tools and testing tools.All applicants are welcomed to join us at our monthly meeting, to meet with our current members, and see if you might want to become the newest Road Rajah. You will be required to start a 10 week probation period, where you will have access to all the services that the club offers, but not granted a key until you are voted in as a full member. A probationary member would also be required to attend all meetings, in order to meet as many of the current members as possible.
Cost- All of our expenses are paid by the members in "dues". These "dues" are paid 3 months in advance by posted dated cheque to our treasurer. The "dues" are $12 a week, and must be paid up front for the probation period and maintained once a full member. If a member doesn't pay their dues, their key is taken from them, until the balance is paid in full. Once a probationary member has completed their 10-week probation, the next meeting of the members will be where the probationary member is voted into the club or denied membership.Reasons for denial of membership:1) Violent or aggressive behavior.2) Purposely breaking club rules (posted at club house).3) Theft of any kind.4) Damage to any other members/ clubs property. The new member is required to pay a one-time fee of $500 to join the club, which in the past has cover the cost of buying new welders, compressors, shop tools, property maintenance, etc.Business' can not be run out of the club, our club is for repairing our own vehicles (and immediate family's) so that all members are able to make use of the space.
