We are currently seeking to hire a Sales Specialist to join our team! As a Sales Specialist with Panda Pod you will need to acquire new and leverage existing relationships with Partners, Wholesalers, and OTA’s to achieve occupancy/ADR goals established by the leadership team. Panda Pod is located in the heart of Richmond. Our workplace culture is both energetic & respectful, plus our team is close-knit and fun to work with. Responsibilities: ● Research, planning, and execution of sales strategies and campaigns ● Targeting new business opportunities to meet revenue goals ● Attend weekly sales meetings to focus on lead generation ● Focus on driving direct bookings to the hotel website ● Building & maintain existing client relationships by ensuring ongoing contact and timely follow up ● Develop proposals for potential and existing clients ● Oversee pricing, product information, and more ● Create packaged services long term, seasonal and promotional purposes ● Represent the property at various events ● Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships ● Present sales and revenue reports and realistic forecasts to the management team ● Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status About you: You are a focused, growth oriented individual with a can-do attitude. Your strong communication skills allow you to build solid relationships and your guest service skills allow you to close opportunities. You are self-motivated and enjoy prospecting to build a strong network. What we’re looking for: ● Minimum of 2-4 years experience in sales. Experience with B2B sales preferred. Hospitality & hotel experience an asset. ● Experienced at building and managing strong relationships with customers ● Ability to analyze, prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure ● Strong ability to effectively prospects, sell, negotiate, and close deals ● Understanding of travel patterns in foreign markets for different demographics ● Excellent interpersonal communication skills including presentation skills. ● Strong team player ● Commitment to company values and a dedication to providing great customer service ● Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook with experience using CRM systems ● BA, BBA or BS degree in a related field (required) ● The ability to travel locally ● Foreign language comprehension an asset This role offers endless opportunities and earnings This is a commission only position
