The ideal FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER has excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and direct others. As a FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER, your primary focus will be management and execution of the brand menu, including some kitchen operations, according to East Side Mario's high standards

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for managing a variety of shifts including opening and closing procedures - Manage shift schedule and control labor costs - Ensure team members apply brand principles and standards to improve guest experience - Interact with guests to ensure their experience meets their expectations. Build positive relationships with returning guests and reach out to new guests to create repeat business. - Assist with management of the restaurant team members, including disciplinary actions - Implement and adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures outlined in the health and safety program - On closing shifts, prepare kitchen prep lists for the next day, order produce and balance cash for the day.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: - MANDATORY: 1-2 years supervisory/management experience in the restaurant industry - Strong business acumen, including an understanding of budgets and operating costs - Understanding of fundamental training principles and adult learning techniques - Excellent understanding of the casual dining industry and restaurant operations - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines while working under pressure - Must have completely open availability including late nights and weekends.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: - Ontario SMART SERVE responsible alcohol service certification - Safe Food Handling certificate
