Production Cook / Kitchen Lead (Meal Prep Service) – Kitimat, BC $20/hour + Free Family Accommodation Provided Job Summary We are a local ready-to-eat meal delivery service in Kitimat, BC serving busy families and shift workers. We prepare fully cooked meals (lunch + dinner) that customers simply heat and eat. This is not a restaurant role. This is a production cooking / meal prep position where consistency, cleanliness, portion control, and reliability matter most. We are looking for a dependable Production Cook / Kitchen Lead to run day-to-day cooking and packaging operations in a licensed commercial kitchen. What You’ll Be Doing Cook family-style meals in bulk (Western comfort food + limited Asian meals) Prepare weekly meal production for multiple households Portion meals into adult + child sizes Package, label, and organize meals for delivery Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times Follow safe food handling procedures and temperature control Assist with grocery planning and inventory tracking Maintain consistent taste and quality week after week Work Schedule This role follows a predictable weekly system: Saturday: Prep + planning + labeling Sunday: Cook + package + delivery preparation Monday: Prep + planning Tuesday: Cook + package + delivery preparation Wednesday: Admin support / groceries ordering (lighter day) Thursday & Friday: Off (or flexible) (Exact schedule may adjust slightly based on delivery timing.) What We Are Looking For You are the right person if you are: Reliable, disciplined, and consistent Experienced with bulk cooking or high-volume meal prep Comfortable working alone in a kitchen Strong in cleanliness, organization, and food safety Able to follow a fixed menu plan and repeat meals consistently Able to cook food that reheats well after 2–4 days Required Experience 2+ years cooking experience (restaurant, catering, camp kitchen, or meal prep) Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain immediately) Camp cooks, catering cooks, and prep cooks are strongly encouraged to apply.
