Responsibilities and Duties
The successful applicant will work as a Sous Chef under the companies (Growfoods inc.) Brand Chef. The successful applicant should know production of various different food products and cooking styles, as well as help in the presentation of food before sealing and packaging. The applicant must also ensure the complete cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. We are very strict about food safety and procedures, the applicant should be aware that its a top priority in our organization.
The Sous Chef will follow the daily, weekly, food production of kitchen production targets. The Sous Chef will work Wednesday to Sunday. Must be able to lead a team of cooks for assembly of food trays and meals packages.
Qualifications and Skills
Skills and qualifications:
-Strong command of the English Language- both written and oral.
-Culinary arts diploma or other certification.
-At least 2 year's experience in a similar role.
-Small and large batch cooking.
-Very strong prep skills and organization.
-Long period of standing, and able to lift min 50 lbs.
-Valid food handling certification.
-Able to work weekends with minimum supervision and can be a leader with staff.
-Able to order food, receive food, store food, and has knowledge of inventory control.
-Follow established recipes.
-Have knowledge of Vegan, Vegetarian, Dairy free, gluten free cuisines.
-Must follow all standard operating procedures.
-Own transportation required- no transit service to this area on weekends.

Salary: $35,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year
