Unique design antique day bed/ extra large twin size bed. Is of Indonesian Dutch design . Bed is enclosed by three intricate carved word panels with colorful ceramic tile accents. Constructed of rugged, solid teak wood and dark brown color. Bed posts are an attractive carved spiral design. Four teak wood panels create a mattress base. Bed estimated over 100 years old. Cracks are present but wood is dry and aged. One of the ceramic tiles is cracked but still intact. A few design spindles are missing but not overly obvious.
King Koil mattress measures Width: 47 inches, Height :13 inches, Length: 79 inches. Bed measures Width: 52 1/2 inches, Length: 91 inches. Total height of the bed including canopy is 80 inches high. Use of canopy is optional. Floor to top of mattress height is 37 inches. Included is a sturdy stepping box.
