Antique oak barrister bookcase 2 tiers 4 parts no doors 40.5” H

Antique oak barrister stacking sectional bookcase 2 tier 4 part with no glass doors 40.5” H { Bibliothèque d'avocat notaire antique en chêne, 2 niveaux, 4 parties sans portes vitrées, 40,5" H } Description: Antique barrister bookcase, with 2 tiers and 4 parts, which includes a base and a top. No horizontal metal straps on the outside lower sides of the tiers. Exterior colour is red - brown. Interior back and bottom are covered in gold brown birch or maple veneer. Sides and frame are of solid oak. Likely built c1920s. Square cross section tapered legs. Top front section has a waterfall ogee shape. One tier is very tall at 16” internal effective height. The glass and oak frame doors for the fronts of the tiers are missing, however the door pivot screws and metal sleeves are still present, along with one of the flat metal scissor door guides. Back boards are plywood, with interior veneer, and are unusually thick and sturdy at 0.5” thick. Dimensions: 34” W x 40.5” H x 11.75” D of tiers; D of top: 12.75”; effective heights (within tiers with no doors): 16” and 12” Condition: Good vintage condition ( 7.0 / 10 ). Base legs and frame are cracked, so gluing and clamping would improve their condition, however they will currently take weight. Both glass doors are missing. One metal x-door guide is in place, however the other one is missing. One patch of about 6” long by ¼" wide where the top veneer is missing (perhaps from water). The base is missing four triangular (x-section) corner braces, which had been glued. Exterior refinished. It is recommended that the bookcase is taken apart / unloaded before attempting to move it, rather than pushing / pulling it while under load.
