An Honest, Genial and Kindly People - First Nations Photographs

My father, Adrian Paton of Arcola, SK was the curator of the South Saskatchewan Photo Museum. This book is a compilation of his best photos of Indigenous people in southern Saskatchewan near the turn of the century. Adrian has included the narrative behind each image, stories passed down to him directly by Indigenous people and others familiar with their rich history. There are also interesting personal stories that describe how Adrian acquired many of these incredible images. Adrian recently passed away but I am honored to ensure the legacy of his book lives on.

Adrian was honored to have his book shortlisted for the High Plains Book Awards.
