They will save your and speed up the installation of your mats. They are only $35 each or if you buy 2 or more - only $25. Money well spent. We use mats hooks all the time when installing our 4’ x 8’s. Just hook the mats and drag them into place with no effort. There are companies out there selling mats that are advertised as Polyethylene. I would stay clear of them. All the major mat manufacturers use HDPE for a reason. It is much stronger. If they aren’t 100% HDPE mats, they won’t have the strength and they won’t last. When we advertise the thickness of our mats, that is the thickness of the core of the mat. The mats have 9mm of tread (3mm and 6mm) which adds to the strength. There is companies out there that include the tread when they advertise their thickness. So they may call them ¾” mats, but they are only ½” mats. Make sure you know what you are buying. Selling, renting and installation of matting is our core business.
