Very useful for travel, backpacking for additional lens. Check the size on photos! Designed for Mir-10A, but fits Mir-1B with hood and canon adapter, Helioses, most of vintage normal primes etc. Soft inside.
I use a similar lens case, and used recently backcountry backpacking through Patagonia carrying camera in bag and additional lens in such pocket. It is enough rigid to be in the backpack under pressure (as opposed to the modern soft pouches). Also, it is in style with your vintage film camera, and can be carried separately. I just sold the lens separately.
