2005 Mini Cooper S R53 6MT

2005 Mini Cooper S (R53) with the 6mt 192,000km Grey with black interior

-if you know, you know, the R53 is widely considered THE best generation due to it's supercharger and lower slung design (the next gen got bigger and went to a turbo) -also, 2005 and 2006 are the best years of the R53 due to the facelift, nicer steering wheel, a better tune for a bit more power, as well as a slightly nicer sounding exhaust note from factory, it's also more reliable than the pre-facelift models mainly due to a more reliable transmission

-NOT a rebuild, Carfax only shows 1 small accident on Dec 2 2017, left front corner, estimate was only $2,800

-owned by a former Mini mechanic (I still have screenshots of his ad with name so you can Google this, also have screenshots of what he told me he had serviced/fixed recently)

-work he did before I bought it 3 months ago: -water pump -supercharger service -brand new clutch -control arm bushings -valve cover gasket -oil pan gasket -cold air intake (generic brand, he provided me with the OEM box in case I wanted it) -ignition coils -spark plugs -thermostat -brake pads

-in the past 3 months, I've done: -oil pressure sending unit -front MAP sensor -new hood scoop -new front grill -put black vinyl over the chrome beltline trim (can be removed easily) -chrome trim on headlights are plastidipped black and can also be removed easily -brand new windshield last week

-everything works great right now -I have noticed a very small oil leak recently, based on my research, it is likely the crank position sensor which I am ordering today and will likely have this replaced before I hand it over to the next owner (very common problem, the gasket gets old and starts leaking) -no other leaks as that was the one thing I made sure of when I bought it -the AC also still works great too!

-wheels are Kong Dekagrams (very light) with Michelin Pilot Sport all seasons with about 8-9/32nds left of tread -stock S-Lites can be included as well, they are mounted on Michelin X Ice tires, also about 8-9/32nds left of tread (see last pic)

-interior is near perfect with just a few cracks in the driver's seat leather (see pic)

-exterior is also near perfect with a few expected scuffs for such an old car, but overall, 9/10, paint still looks new, no rust other than a small penny sized bubble starting just above the trunk handle

-reason for selling/trading...I'm turning 44 and am having a mid life crisis, I've owned sports cars most of my life and after moving back to Calgary, I've forgotten how bad the roads are here and really just want an "old man car" that's comfortable and quiet to drive (wife and I can't afford to keep 3 cars so this one will have to go), so let me know what you have for a trade (nothing old and that requires any major work, preferences for an SUV, again, no junk please, no trucks either or motorcycles, I need a comfortable daily driver that's also somewhat fun to drive
