1984 Nissan / Datsun 300zx Manual - Digital Dash for sale -

Runs, Plated, registered, active with a clean title.

Lots of money and time put into this car over the last year and a half. I bought it as a project car to get in as good condition as i could, keeping everything stock. I would like to continue it but i will not have anymore time or space this year. There are no modifications except for the radio which was done by the previous owner. Below I will list as much as i know about the state of the car, both good and bad.

------- The Good ----------

Last year of the name Datsun, this 1984 model is dual named, both with Nissan and Datsun

Top of the line model for the NA motors with leather electronically adjustable seats, digital gauge cluster, automatic climate control.

Stock VG30DE Motor rebuilt 6 months ago by a professional garage, it's in perfect condition with new intake valves, exhaust valves, all gaskets, spark plugs, machining of head, head bolts, head gasket, new timing belt, etc. It runs A1 apart from a squeak from a pulley.

New fuel pump

New serprentine belt (alternator side)

New battery (250$ one)

New rear brakes (calipers, pads, and rotors)

New exhaust (stock OEM sound)

New Mirror control and in perfect condition

New digital fuel converter

Parking brake works excellently

Transmission and clutch in very good condition, mechanic inspected it while the motor was out.

The car has rust around, but has been inspected. the floor is still good with and the frame is still structurally sound

Digital gauge cluster was replaced along with the power unit and works well. The KM's the replacement unit shows are 184,236, the car actually has much less, closer to 118,000.

Power seats work

Pop up headlights work

Power windows work

All the turn signals, lights, and brake lights are good

Air conditioning is not tested, but the system was inspected and appears to be in good conditioning. Evaporator was inspected when the dash was out, looks really good too (i can provide a photo).

T tops are in good condition and work well

No leaks

Original spare tire and kit is still there ( i wouldn't recommend to use the 40 year old stuff.....)

Radio is working well

The talking car voice betty still talks to you

------- The Bad ----------

- Front wipers keeps blowing a fuse, rears work good

- left front headlight will sometimes go on while the car is off. The headlight switch needs to be replaced. It's a common problem on these years that the switch becomes loose. Needs a really tested used one or a new one. I leave the battery disconnected if I'm not driving

- Heater core is bypassed. Heater core was replaced with a used OEM but that replacement failed... probably best to do it again with a new piece.

Leather seat power functions work but they're also really torn. The drivers seat is torn at the seams, while the passenger side is more general.

Squeaky pulley as mentioned above

Rust in the trunk and around. It's nothing structural but it is in many different areas and it would probably be the first next thing to take care of so that it doesn't become so much worse. Trunk rust will need to be cut and welded.

Body is rough

Climate control doesn't work, no power to it.

Compass and force gauge don't work.

Hood latch is finicky, cable may need replacing

Tires would be good to replace, they're 15 inch so they are fortunately cheaper than most new tires

Exact fuel level doesn't show, the In Tank assembly needs to be replaced, but it does tell you when it's getting low.

This car works, it's registered, it runs. It's an absolutely beautiful car but it does need some work in order to be driven often, and it does need a lot of work if you want a great condition car.
