Description

Great shape, no rust, never smoked in. Mechanically amazing with all possible issues addressed in advance. It has great options: no navigation (it's outdated and ugly so I consider having navigation in this generation a bad thing; plus it has a compass (red letters) in the rear view mirror which is very helpful). It has comfort access (touch handles to lock and unlock doors) and the best sound system available. Heated seats, adaptive headlights (headlights turn when you turn the steering wheel), sunroof. See options list below—6FL is huge! iPod adapter. I play my iPhone 14 Pro in it with a cable connection (better sound quality than Bluetooth anyways). No need to mess with the sound system which is an aftermarket expense, or DIY nightmare because of the fibre connections BMW uses (doesn’t play nicely with most aftermarket sound cabling). It has bluetooth for phone calls but the bluetooth doesn’t support music so you need to connect your phone for that. You’ve already got sound from your phone via USB cable, bluetooth for phone, and a red LED letter compass in the rearview mirror for navigation. No need to worry about after market messing about. Just clip your phone onto the windshield or air vent.

Black leather inside in great shape. Car is stock. Nothing aftermarket done to it at all. Clean active title status. CarFax is attached but if you can’t download it, email me and I’ll send it to you.

I had the connecting rods and throttle body actuators done around 145, 000 (common issue so did it preventatively. If you’re shopping an E90/2 you’re hopefully already very aware of those two common issues and will be very relieved to know they’re replaced and good. Spark plugs done around that time too.

Last year, got a new BMW brand battery at Eurasia Motorsports in Edmonton along with fluid flushes/annual maintenance.

It's not winter driven (my winter car is an STI which I’ll also be posting for sale) since I’m trying to go from two cars to one.

What makes this a collector's car in my opinion is how analog it is: last of the M3s to NOT have engine noises put in over the speakers. Last of them to have hydraulic power steering (not electric). Manual transmission, of course. Pull type e-brake. Naturally aspirated V8! No rev-matching. No screen in it. Dynamic stability control (DSC) can be fully disabled with one button (not a terrible i-drive menu drill down). You'd have to go air-cooled Porsche to get more of this spirit. Sure, turbo chargers and electric power steering and engine noise over the speakers and push button e-brakes have some advantages (efficiency mostly) but they are terrible for the pure driving enthusiast's appreciation for the connected visceral feel of driving a sports car like this one.

Enthusiasts will be familiar this car and casual browsers may be confused by my asking price.

Car is in Edmonton area and I’m able to show it with 1-4 days notice although a test drive may be tricky depending on the winter weather.

Tires on it (just the one set) are Bridgestone Potenzas with 245,35R19 on the front and 265, 35/R19’s on the back (they came staggered like that from the factory). Treads good but I can get a measurement later.

Open to offers. Let me know if you have any questions or would like the link to a folder of more and better quality photos. Or if you’d like me to take a new photo of something up close. The CarFax should be attached but if you’re having troubles, I can send it to you.

Options that come with this car 0854,VA93 are posted in a photo since the site won’t let me post them in the description because it thinks the digits are secretly my phone number.

If you message me and I seem a bit cold or unforthcoming at first, it’s because I’m very tired of scammers wasting my time so my guard is up. Luckily, scammers don’t actually read ads so won’t know this. In fact, if you lead off your message to me by telling me who your favourite Top Gear presenter was (the previous classic British trio), or even just mentioning that program, I’ll instantly know you’re a fellow enthusiast and not what’s wrong with society. Cheers!

It also has the CarFax with details on the collision early in the vehicle’s life. Mar 4, 2021 on the CarFax was me buying it.
